How to Buy A Like-New Used Forklift

Written by John Wofford | Jul 30, 2024 7:15:00 PM

There are many reasons to buy a used forklift: you need equipment right away, you have a limited budget, etc. BUT  (some may argue) there are some reasons not to buy a used forklift, and hidden problems are at the top of that list.

Fair point, but a high-quality used forklift can be an exceptional value. Well-maintained used forklifts can cost 30-50% less than a new forklift and have years of life left in them.

We’ve helped hundreds of cost-conscious fleet managers get more machine for their money by purchasing one of our reliable, reconditioned used forklifts. Our used forklifts are as close to new as possible and we offer a variety of warranty options.

Watch this video about the used forklifts we sell, where they come from and how we prep them for sale. Or just keep reading...

The Best Darn Used Forklifts in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee or Arkansas

Most of the used forklifts we sell have been in our care from day one because they’re lease turn-ins or were part of our rental fleets. In either case, the forklifts have been maintained by factory-trained technicians and received all their manufacturer-recommended service.

Every used forklift we sell:

  • Receives a thorough inspection by a factory-certified technician
  • Comes with either a 30, 60 or 90-day warranty* (*we do have a few "as-is" units, but that is not the norm)
  • Some units are eligible for a 12-month extended warranty

Our used forklifts can be reconditioned to a variety of levels. Want your forklift to look like it just rolled off the line at the factory? We can do that. We’ll replace the operator seat, put on four new tires and give it a new coat of paint (or even a custom paint job). We’ve sold used forklifts that looked so good, the customer couldn’t believe it was a used truck.

Optional: Used Forklift Makeover
If you just want a dependable forklift and don’t care much what it looks like, no problem. You can save money by skipping the paint job and other cosmetic repairs.

Always Included: Thorough Inspection and Repairs
A factory-trained technician thoroughly inspects every used forklift we sell. They check the brakes, chains, engine, hoses, transmission, tires, etc., and test the forklift’s safety features. Anything that does not meet our high standards is replaced or repaired.

If We Don’t Have a Forklift That’s a Good Fit, We’ll Find It

Some people only want to sell you the forklift they have on the lot, not the forklift you actually need. That’s not how we do things.

Our forklift experts will help you buy the best used forklift for your money. That starts with a free site inspection (or phone call, if you prefer) so we can learn about the loads you’re moving and recommend the ideal used forklift for your operation. If (for some reason) we don’t have the perfect forklift in stock, we’ll work hard to find it for you.
