Clark forklifts are among the top 10 most popular lift trucks in the U.S. because they’re reliable and versatile.
In this article, we’ll do a quick rundown of the most popular electric Clark forklifts in Alabama and Tennessee. We’ll also answer some common questions including:
- Are Clark forklifts made in the USA?
- Can electric forklifts be used in the rain?
- What applications benefit most from electric forklifts?
CLARK Electric Forklift With PNEUMATIC TIRES
The Clark GEX is designed for indoor and outdoor use. It has solid pneumatic tires and is a versatile addition to any equipment fleet.
Capacity: 4000-10,000 lbs.
Applications: Indoor/Outdoor Manufacturing, Warehousing & Shipping/Receiving
Tires: Pneumatic
We’re often asked, “Can electric forklifts be used in the rain?” Clark’s GEX can. It’s designed to be an indoor/outdoor forklift.
As Clark says on their website, “two ‘hands’ aren't always better than one.” In other words, transferring loads between an indoor and outdoor forklift is inefficient compared to using just one truck for both environments.
Clark’s GEX electric forklift is designed to be your go-anywhere, do-it-all lift truck.
- The 80-volt 100% AC motor delivers the power you'd expect from an internal combustion engine forklift — with lower maintenance costs and less downtime.
- The zero turning radius allows the GEX to operate in areas other forklifts can't, like narrow aisles in cold storage environments.
If you have narrow or even very narrow aisles, consider one of Clark’s 3-wheel electric forklifts:
- The ESX 3-wheel stand-up electric forklift
- Or the S-series 3-wheel electric forklift

Are Clark Forklifts Made in the USA?
All S-Series forklifts, including the SE15-25T forklifts mentioned above, are made in Lexington, Kentucky. Clark’s R&D department is also based in Lexington. According to a press release from 2019, the company’s long-term plan is to manufacture 80% of its products for the U.S. market in Lexington.
